Take the hub out of the box. Leave the white ethernet cable and black power plug attached.
-
Connect the hub into the back of your internet router (provided by Sky, BT, etc.) using the white ethernet cable. The cable should now run from the small grey box to your router.
-
Plug in the black power socket attached to the hub. The hub will now switch on and a sequence of lights will be displayed (including all lights off) whilst it powers up.
-
This step can take up to 10 minutes. Once two green lights appear on the gateway the installation of the device is complete.
This will be connected to your internet, or a router provided by the service.
Please ensure it remains plugged into power and the internet router. Disconnection will disrupt your environmental sensor monitoring.
The hub will also support the transmission of your health readings. The amber 'wi-fi' symbol will flash to indicate success (slow flashes) or failure (rapid flashes) after each reading so it is a good idea to have the hub visible.
If there are no lights on top of the gateway please check for the following:
-
the socket is switched on where the black power plug is connected;
-
the white ethernet cable is inserted fully into the back of the router.
